Disney has put a park reservation system in place to control attendance levels and provide a safer experience for their guests. With reduced attendance levels, Disney has suspended the use of FastPass Plus, since most attractions have shorter lines. In many cases, the actual wait times are less than shown in the Disney My Experience app.
TIP:
To avoid the most crowded park days, avoid Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Also avoid holidays, during which Disney has reached peak attendance levels.
Disney has several attendance groups (Park Guests, Vacation Club Members, and Annual Passholders). Each group has a limited number of slots per park each day. This system will probably be adjusted as Disney learns more about who attends when. To enter a park, you need to have both a valid ticket and a park reservation.
